A now "deceased" website on RSS marketing and RSS publishing - a look at the history of internet marketing

A Note from the Author: The RSS Diary is Closed

rssdiary.marketingstudies.net was built to help marketers get the most from RSS. However, much has changed since the site was last updated in 2007 - and it's pretty fair to say that it's now completely outdated.

Since I've moved on to other interests in internet marketing years ago, the site is now officially closed, and only remains online as an archive of a part of internet marketing's past. This is how we used to see RSS between 2004 - 2007. We don't, anymore, but there's no harm in having a small part of our past available online.

With that, I'm also making the e-book that started all of this, Unleas the Marketing and Publishing Power of RSS, available for free download.

Blog Business Summit - RSS Conversations Live

Just a quick look at Technorati is enough for anyone to experience the power of "RSS Powered Conversations".

I'm talking about the tremendeous buzz being generated around the Blog Business Summit, which started yesterday.

Go take a look by yourself.

20 posts "around the world" within the past hour and 17 minutes.

95 posts within the past 24 hours.

400 posts within the past 40 days.

And still growing with astounding speed.

In "Direct Marketing Against Dialog Facilitation" I ponder about having to employ a "dialog facilitaor" to help me keep up with the online conversations about my e-book.

Well, the Business Blog Summit is generating a few 100x more buzz ... just imagine having to "facilitate" those conversations?

And just imagine the huge power of the PR potential. Hundreds of conversations about your product going on at once, all over the web.

That's hundreds of new business opportunities, going on all at once.

And all this made possible with the power of RSS ...
