A Note from the Author: The RSS Diary is Closed

rssdiary.marketingstudies.net was built to help marketers get the most from RSS. However, much has changed since the site was last updated in 2007 - and it's pretty fair to say that it's now completely outdated.

Since I've moved on to other interests in internet marketing years ago, the site is now officially closed, and only remains online as an archive of a part of internet marketing's past. This is how we used to see RSS between 2004 - 2007. We don't, anymore, but there's no harm in having a small part of our past available online.

With that, I'm also making the e-book that started all of this, Unleas the Marketing and Publishing Power of RSS, available for free download.

HitRSS.com: Another RSS Publishing Provider Joins the Game

 
 

HitRSS.com is yet another RSS publishing solution provider, taking the well-known hosted solution path. As many others, HitRSS.com does offer an entry-level service for free.

The free service doesn't provide any new features we haven't seen before, while the PRO service does offer some RSS metrics.

"One of the myths of RSS feeds and RSS marketing is that you can't track your RSS readership. This is not true if you publish your RSS feed with HitRSS PRO! As a HitRSS PRO subscriber you'll have access to exact daily/weekly/monthly and even yearly statistics of your RSS news feed!"

Haven't had the time to take it for a spin, but it does look interesting, although it would be nice to see some players bring some new features to the market.

But, their sales page is interesting and has a nice conversational tone, so it's worth a look. And hey, it's quite possible that their user interface is better than the rest, so I'll hold off with my verdict until I learn more.

Now I'm just wondering how many of their users will actually upgrade to the PRO version after trying out their free offerings.
