A now "deceased" website on RSS marketing and RSS publishing - a look at the history of internet marketing
The first day of the RSS marketing e-book launch was fantastic, especially considering all of the publicity the e-book is already generating.
The publicity actually started about three weeks ago, when Robin Good announced the e-book to the world and secretly recorded an interview with me.
"There is nothing like this I have seen before. This is a pretty monumental guide to RSS/Atom newsfeeds and their effective use for online marketing, business and publishing. Rok has entitled it: "Unleash the Marketing & Publishing Power of RSS: A Marketer's Guide to Understanding and Taking Advantage of RSS for Marketers and Publishers".
That story was then picked up by numerous web sites, all thanks to the power of RSS content syndication.
Then, the first post about the real release of the e-book came on January 16h by Shawn Collins, just two days before the official release:)
"So anyway, Rok has put out a great resource on RSS that covers the ins and outs of RSS in 550 pages, and he'll be updating the ebook as necessary."
And of course, again through RSS, the whole world had access to the news.
Just on time were the posts that followed after that (according to my Technorati watchlist), starting with Bill Flitter of Pheedo.
"Rok Hrastnik from MarketingStudies has authored the most comprehensive electronic book I've seen to date on everything you need to know about RSS. I had the privilege to review one of the first copies. I was blown away by how in depth he covers RSS. It's a steal for only $39.95. It speaks to small and large business marketers and publishers. I encourage you to get a copy before I encourage him to raise the price. He is giving it away. I sound like an infomercial, don't I?"
And then things just started to flow from there, with a new blog mention approximately every 2 hours.
The last blog post I found was at a web site I could not understand (not in English). All I can is that they're discussing something about the price:). Wouldn't mind a translation:)
