A great application that proves just how far RSS will go and at the same time demonstrates how important mobile is actually getting. And since RSS content items are usually just short descriptions they are especially appropriate for delivery to mobile phones, for those of us that want to keep up with the latest news on the go. And not to forget that your customers can now receive your customer updates directly to their mobile phones, without being burdened with SMS messages or bandwidth-heavy e-mail messages. Here's a direct quote from 49PM.com: "Read any RSS or Atom newsfeed and view the photos formatted exactly to the size of your mobile display! You can save downloaded photos to your phone and show them to your friends later. And when you check a newsfeed, only the newest posts are downloaded. You can add any newsfeed you like, it'll even find the feed if you enter the web location of a weblog or newsfeed page. 49PM's NewsReader works on virtually any Java enabled mobile phone with color display including Nokia, Motorola, SonyEricsson, Siemens, LG, Samsung...
