On Marketing With RSS Aggregators & Jim Gray's Address to Quikonnex Members

By Jim Gray, co-founder of the RSS publishing solution Quikonnex, on his personal blog:

"Rok Hrastnik has finally released his mammoth Ebook entitled "Unleash the Marketing & Publishing Power of RSS". Our own Quikonnex system is very well addressed in this book, but this Ebook is not just about Quikonnex. It's the most comprehensive book on the power of RSS published to date.

A recent trend has been for some "gurus", who've recently discovered RSS, to jump on the bandwagon and promote their own RSS How-To Ebooks. I've seen these go from $97.00 to $397.00. Not only have I seen erroneous information released, but they barely scratch the surface of the power this technology possesses. For $39.95, Rok provides you with 550 pages covering all aspects of this technology."

In "Unleash", Quikonnex serves as a practicle example of combining the marketing power of branded RSS aggregators and RSS feeds.

We need to take a look beyond "the feed" and inspect RSS in conjunction with its most important partner, the RSS aggregator, which makes RSS content consumption possible.

RSS feeds cannot be used by end-users without RSS aggregators.

Taking advantage of this fact provides yet another marketing opportunity for companies willing to invest in "creating" their own branded RSS aggregators and with enough pulling power with their users to convince them to download and install specifically their aggregator.

Why then have so few companies invested in this?

Money is certainly an object, but there are also ways of getting a branded RSS aggregator without money being a problem ... especially considering the huge benefits.

For instance, the latest branded aggregator from Quikonnex also features built-in affiliate functionality that helps the company and its publishers generate even more revenues.

Branded RSS aggregators most certainly are the way of the RSS future ...
