RSS Becoming a Hit With Marketers

RSS marketing is poised to getting more attention from marketers soon, at least according to MarketingSherpa survey.

40% of marketers are definitely planning on investing in adding RSS feeds to their marketing mix in 2006, while 19% plan to spend more than a year out.

The tide is finally turning and the time to get on the train is now, or your competitors will get there ahead of you.

It's not only about being among the first and getting a better start, but also about having the upper hand in testing the various approaches to find just the right one for you.

Comments

I still think that with time, every online marketer will accept and treat RSS's importance with every seriousness as they do with Search Marketing today. Of course, it will never replace email, but it has the potential of killing the spammy-email business or at least taking the gloss and glut OFF it.

BTW, Loren, it's not just RSS feeds, there are a whole lot of newer web technologies that marketers are seriously considering as well. Podcasting, videocasting, etc. For example, we have team currently testing some user-friendly software along these lines of technology and over the next few months you'll see them helping you use the technologies effectively.
