A now "deceased" website on RSS marketing and RSS publishing - a look at the history of internet marketing
Just one day after Jupiter Research announced their new RSS report and their findings that RSS just isn't for marketers, Slashdot came out with the results of their latest survey.
Contrary to the Jupiter report, the Slashdot survey predicts dramatic RSS growth, as 73% of respondents plan to increase their use of RSS feeds next year (hmmm ... how can you plan to increase your content consumption channel habits?).
Other interesting findings include that most users consume RSS feeds via Web-based RSS syndication services, while RSS consumption via mobile units will increase.
Interesting findings, but we do have to take in to account that the Slashdot audience is mroe tech savvy then most internet users.

At times it seems like there's really a small dormant "war" going on "out there".
To see my point, take a look at the recent "opinion clashes" about podcasting by Doc Searls, Dave Winer and others. All I can personally add to this discussion is that from my discussions with marketers that I do trust, podcasting is by all means bringing them money ...
This space is heating up, quickly ...
