However, to reap the benefits of RSS towards this purpose one of the key activities is submitting our RSS feeds to the appropriate RSS search engines and directories, which can be a long and tedious process. The RSS Submit tool, which I started using not long ago, can help us with this process, by quickly and easily submitting our feeds with just a few clicks from us. The tool is without question easy to use and it does actually work. Considering the time you'd need to spend doing this manually, it's certainly worth what they're asking for it. My only complaint is that it still doesn't submit to a few of the more important directories and content aggregation sites, but the vendor has assured me that they are working on it and should add most or all of these shortly. I just looked at the short video above.. You say at the end it is quick and easy but how about effective. Gary, It got my feeds submitted and accepted by all the search engines it submits to, so I'd say it's effective. OK, have to go to catch a few hours of sleep:) Have a good night, Rok I have been looking at rss submit for a while now and could not make up my mind if I should by it or not. The question that I have is if I submit my rss feed using pings.ws to the directories listed there will my rss feed be picked up by other directories automatically over time?
Daniel, Remember that pings.ws is a blog pinging tool, not an RSS feed submission tool. Pinging blogs is a way of telling the blog search engines about your blog, but it will not get you listed in the RSS directories, which require a completely different submission process. Pinging blogs and submitting RSS feeds are two different topics, and are both equally important. RSS Submit includes a plug-in for pinging blogs, in addition to its rss feed submission.
